Lennon House Transitional Housing Program
Lennon House’s Transitional Housing Program (LHTHP) is an intermediate step between residential living and permanent housing and assists individuals to move towards greater autonomy and self-sufficiency, thereby increasing the likelihood of housing stability within the community.
This program is for individuals who need additional support transitioning to a place in the community while they gain more independence. It is supportive – yet temporary – that is, meant to bridge a gap from supportive residential living to permanent housing by offering fully furnished single detached units, supervision and support.
LHTHP are detached single units, so the level of autonomy is intermediate to high. For this reason, participants of the LHTHP program must be able to show they can secure legitimate and reliable funding to pay their monthly program fees and have a measure of self-sufficiency, such as their own personal transportation, to manage their daily program of recovery (take themselves to recovery-based appointments, recovery meetings, doctor and pharmacy appointments), as well as looking after all areas of living independently (shopping, meals, laundry, etc.).
The Lennon House Transitional Housing Program officially opened September 12, 2024.
